Welcome to Mastery Book! We're committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

What We Collect

On-device Data

• Name (optional) — stored only on your device
• Exam type preference (JEE/NEET/Both)
• Study mistakes, notes, and any images you add

Backups (Optional, User-managed)

• If you enable backups, data is saved to your Google Drive
• Backups are controlled by you; we do not access, store, or manage those backups

What we never collect

• Location data
• Contacts
• Browsing history
• Any data on our servers or databases — we don't have any

Camera Permission

We request camera permission to allow you to:

• Take photos of your mistakes (questions, formulas, diagrams) for your study records
• Use the drawing tool to annotate and mark up images
• Capture handwritten notes directly into your mistake entries

Important

• Photos are stored locally on your device only
• We never upload photos to our servers (we don't have any)
• Photos are only included in backups if you enable Google Drive backup
• You can delete any photo anytime by editing or deleting the mistake
• Camera access is optional - you can also select photos from your gallery

How We Store Your Data

• Local Storage: All your mistakes, images, and study data are stored only on your device. We don't automatically upload anything to our servers.
• Google Drive Backup (Optional): If you enable backup, your data is stored in your own Google Drive account. We never see or access this data.

How We Protect Your Data

• All data stays on your device unless you choose to back it up
• Backup data goes to YOUR Google Drive, not our servers
• No third-party analytics or tracking
• No ads

Subscription & Payments

Payments are processed by RevenueCat and your device's app store (Google Play or Apple App Store). We never see or store your payment information.

Data Sharing

We don't share your data. Period.

• We don't sell your data
• We don't share it with third parties
• We don't use it for marketing
• We don't analyze it for any purpose
• The only sharing is when YOU choose to back up to YOUR Google Drive

Data Deletion

• Delete individual mistakes anytime
• Clear all data from Settings
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data
• Delete Google Drive backups from your Google Drive

Children's Privacy

We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Major changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of the app implies acceptance.
